I polled the audience a while ago and settled on the name Séance! ^w^)b All the cats with Dark in my art are actually the same cat, Séance is a void entity and just sort of morphs into different kinds of cat to look cool with Dark uwu

That's pretty much it, if you want to add more to the character or reinvent the idea entirely you totally can! >w<)/💕

You know there’s something that’s been haunting my ass since 2013 and I’ve never talked about it before, so I guess now at the crux of a new decade it’s finally time |D

I was in my first official college drawing class, and like any freshly minted art college student, I drew whatever the hell I felt like during class in between assignments. This led to my instructor telling me numerous times that I needed to draw from life and stop drawing dragons in class. Well one day we had a substitute teacher, I can’t for the life of me remember his name but that man took one look at me and said “I’m about to make this student question their entire existence”

He comes over and starts talking to me, mostly about his own work (he did studies of jazz bands playing on post cards to sell) but then he looks over at what I’d been drawing (a dragon ofc) and asks me what it is. I explain that I love dragons and have been drawing them since I could hold a pencil. He says “Why do you like dragons?” I stutter, I don’t know? They’re cool? 

And this man, looked into the core of my being and proceeded to snatch my spiritual wig clean off. Without missing a beat he says to me, a baby who didn’t know a damn thing about the motivation behind my art yet, 

“Are you attracted to power?”

That phrase has haunted my whole ass ever since. At first I was like no?? That’s not the reason this man is bananas lmao But as I developed a better understanding of myself and the subjects I drew...I realized...This random stranger who had never met me before, and who I haven’t seen or heard from since, summed up my entire artistic motivation before I even knew what I was about?? It only became more clear with time but he was right and I’ve been having an ongoing existential crisis about it without saying anything to anyone for seven years now |D

Tl;dr Mysterious substitute art teacher snatches my wig, calls me a thembo for power and gives me existential dread
